What is static powder coating?

The coating formed by melting polymer powder on electrostatically sprayed parts is called powder coating. Electrostatic powder paint is a solvent-free surface coating method. Paint is very fine powder paint particles that form the final layer of paint. Powder paint is sprayed in a spray booth with a special spray gun.

How is static powder paint done?

The powder particles used for static paint are charged with a negative pole during application and sprayed onto the metal surface. The powder paint, which is transformed in the negative direction by the electric current as it leaves the device, sticks to the metal surface by moving away from each other due to being of the same pole.

Does static paint rust?

Does Electrostatic Powder Paint Rust or Is It Heat Resistant? Electrostatic powder paint itself does not rust. However, if there is an opening in the applied metal surface that is in contact with air, then the metal may rust.
