One of the 5 holy nights in Islam is Miraj. Miraj is a day that is observed on the 27th night of the month of Rajab according to the Hijri Calendar. The literal meaning of Miraj, which comes from the Arabic word Miraj, is expressed as "ascension" or "ascent to the sky". This night is also called Miraj Night.

Because the Night of Ascension is considered holy, when the 27th night of the month of Rajab is reached, Muslims perform various acts of worship to experience the night. In this way, they achieve goals such as cleansing from sins and getting close to the Creator.

What Happened on the Night of Ascension?
The reason why the Night of Ascension is considered holy by Muslims is the events that took place in the past. On the Night of Ascension, which took place in 620 or 621, the last prophet of Islam, Hz. Muhammad (pbuh), ascended to heaven. The Prophet's ascension to heaven took place by the order of Almighty Allah and with the accompaniment of Hz. Gabriel, one of the four great angels.
